The most popular tropical vacation areas travelers think of in the United States are Hawaii and Southern Florida. However, it is important to consider other sunny getaways such as Puerto Rico, Mariana Islands, U.S Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and Guam. In fact, Americans can travel to these places without passport.
Florida comprises of the Florida Keys and Miami both which can be experienced best by sea and land. There are many things to see and to do here from travelling into the Atlantic Ocean and seeing the growth of coral reefs to exploring mahogany groves and mangrove forests to taking a boat tour at Biscayne National Park. When it comes to lodging options and beaches you won’t get enough of your vacation.
- The South Pacific
Visit the South Pacific and explore endangered and threatened sea turtles and enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the warm waters in the Pacific National Historical Park. Other attractions include the National Park of American and high-rise hotels on the beach in Tumon.
- The Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico
From the Virgin Islands National Park to the Virgin Islands Coral Reef National Monument, there is more than enough attractions to explore on the Virgin Islands. A good friend of mine who owns a tow truck company and does the best towing Scottsdale has to offer, visits the Virgin Islands every January. He always tells me about how great it is. Visitors enjoy Snorkeling opportunities in the available maze of mangrove roots and hiking at El Paseo del Morro National Recreational Trail in Puerto Rico. Cinnamon Bay Beach offers sailing, camping, and kayaking opportunities to travelers as well.
In Hawaii, travelers can go for camping at 4,000 feet above sea level at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park or hike through the trails in the verdant rainforest.
